• Basic Room (2 persons, standard hotel room) Group Rate:  $109/night; Other accomodations (guaranteed lake view, suites, etc.) also available at group rates.  (Please note:  When you make your reservation, you will be given the opportunity to add the "Resort (Hotel Services) Program" at $14.95 per room per night.  For information about services included in this fee -- wifi in room, in room coffee and tea, fitness center membership, unlimited free transportation to area attractions, for example -- check the hotel website.  The Resort Fee is optional and not required at booking.  You can always add it later, even at check in.)
• Rate can be applied two nights before and two nights after event, if you want a longer stay (great for family vacations!)
• Complimentary Free Parking for D Troopers
• Transportation to and from Airport all days of the reunion (To be provided by D Troop)
• Penthouse hospitality Suite exclusively for the use of D Troopers and guests, and a "break out" room available from 8AM - 5PM daily for smaller group use.

Event Side trips and reunion events (social occasions, break outs, etc.) are still TBA, but there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to participate.

Come on, D Troopers, how long has it been since you took the wife to a first class hotel for a weekend?  She might enjoy it so much, she'll let you out more often.  And keep in mind that, while it is not necessary to stay at the Buena Vista Palace hotel to participate in Stand Down events, the number of rooms booked affects the final prices we'll pay for things like banquet and social event food, beverage, and other services.  If you're planning a longer stay and want to try and save money by staying at another property, book the reunion hotel for two nights -- April 30 and May 1 -- and spend the rest of your stay at the lodging of your choice.  Most find, however, that the savings of staying at competitive properties are not enough to offset the convenience and comforts of the reunion host hotel. If you would like to attend Shamrock Stand Down 2010, but feel that you would not be able to afford lodging at all, please contact John Gayle at swim46@gmail.com, Ron Adams ADAMSOFGA@aol.com, Al Peterson alan_25057@msn.com or Doug Donnell at dwdreps@yahoo.com.  Your inquiry will be kept confidential.  We want everyone who wants to attend to be able to do so if at all possible.
